This document should be read in conjunction with the Somewhere Privacy Statement.
The Somewhere Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are currently in draft form and may change while the Somewhere service is in it's pre-release test period. During this period, we may make material changes to this document and note them only here.
your obligations as a Somewhere member
These are our terms and conditions of use. Somewhere is a service designed to allow you to subscribe to content from throughout the internet and publish this information with friends or the public. As a Somewhere member you have an obligation to use the service for it's intended purpose, act responsibly and respect the rights of other members.
By using the Somewhere service you are agreeing to be bound by the obligations and terms of use listed on this page. If you do not agree to be bound by them, you may not use Somewhere's services.
Somewhere may, at it's own discretion, remove any content or deactivate any user account that violates the terms of service. In such a case, we may, but are not required to, notify you in advance of the account termination and explain why we are doing so. If your account is terminated due to a violation of the terms of service, you may not create any new accounts until Somewhere has determined that you may again be a member in good standing.
membership
You can use Somewhere as either a registered or unregistered member. Unregistered members can read public information, follow-links and perform other similar tasks. Registered members can, among other things, create accounts, create content subscriptions, choose what information should remain public or private and other capabilities.

You must:
- Be 14 years of age or older to use the Somewhere service.
- Be legally permitted to use the Somewhere service in your local jurisdiction.
- Agree to abide by all parts of the Somewhere Terms of Service.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your user name, you will not share your account information with others, and you will keep your password private.
- Be responsible for all content you publicize through your subscriptions. You will ensure that you either own or have the right to use any content, of any type, to which you subscribe.
Any automated use of the Somewhere service will be through Somewhere's published APIs or with applications that make use of Somewhere's APIs.
You agree that Somewhere can either make private or delete any subscriptions or content in your account (for example, if it is obscene or if it is a copyright violation) and reserves the right to alter content to comply with the Somewhere Terms of Service. If we make private, delete or alter any content in your collections (except feeds), we will do our best to notify you and provide an explanation, but we are not obligated to do so. You agree that your use of the Somewhere site, APIs, and downloadable software is bound by the applicable license terms, and you agree to comply with these terms.
You agree that Somewhere may contact you (for example via the email address you provide during sign-up), to notify you about system updates and service messages, as well as to respond to your requests or feedback. Somewhere can terminate your account at any time for any reason (for example, if you violate any part of the Somewhere terms of service).
restrictions
Somewhere is all about communicating with other people. But there are some restrictions.
You must not abuse, threaten, harass, intimidate, impersonate, slander or libel any Somewhere user, Somewhere employee, or the Somewhere service itself.
You must not use the Somewhere service for any illegal, unintended, unauthorized or unacceptable purpose. Remember that your use of the Somewhere service is bound by all applicable laws, and you must comply with the laws of your local jurisdiction when you use the Somewhere service.
You must not:
- Add any content, of any type, to your collections that is obscene, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, libelous, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate.
- Add any content, of any type, to your subscriptions that you do not own, have a license to use, or is not in the public domain.
- Use the Somewhere service for commercial purposes without our prior consent.
- Use the Somewhere service to create or send any unsolicited email ("spam") to any user of the Somewhere service or external party.
- Use the Somewhere service to collect user names for any purpose, including "spam."
- Use the Somewhere service to transmit worms, viruses or any other code of a destructive or deceptive nature. For example, you may not include worms, viruses or any computer code of a destructive or deceptive nature in your subscriptions.
- Include any content in your collections that interferes with the operation of the Somewhere service.
- Create or collect content for the purpose of manipulating, confusing, or altering Somewhere's search and connections algorithms.
- Do anything that interferes with the normal operation of the Somewhere network or the networks of our partners, agents and access providers.
- Attempt to remove, cover, deface or otherwise interfere with advertisements on pages or widgets generated by the Somewhere service.
copyright
Users are required to own or have rights to any material they post or subscribe to. We will remove any content which violates the copyright laws upon a valid request from the actual copyright holder. To submit a request for removal please use our contact form and include the following information:
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or the person authorized to act on its behalf;
A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
A description of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material;
Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email;
A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under the pains and penalties of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
A description of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material;
Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email;
A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and

other things you should know
Enforcement and interpretation of our terms and conditions will be at Somewhere's sole discretion, in good faith and using common sense and reasonable judgment.
Somewhere, inc, which operates the Somewhere service will make reasonable efforts to keep the service available and operating. There may be times when all or part of the service is not available. Somewhere, inc, is successor companies, its partners, suppliers, service providers will have no liability relating to any failure of the service to operate, for any malfunction or any problems relating to the Somewhere service.
The Somewhere service offers users assistance in a variety of ways, blogs, user forums, FAQ and a customer support service. Somewhere, inc is not liable for any damages due to incorrect information, slow or non-response through any of these media.
We reserves the right modify, change, enhance or discontinue part or all of the Somewhere service at any time without notice.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
We may change these Terms of Service at any time. If, in our sole discretion, the changes are material, we will attempt to notify members by email and post a notice prominently on the Somewhere service.
