Zero Risk: You pay nothing if you don't hire.

Latin America is where most US companies look first when they want full-time remote hires who work US hours. The firms that place that talent differ less in who they can find than in how you pay and who employs the hire: a one-time placement fee, a monthly staffing fee, or a vendor-managed team.

How we built this list: we included firms that recruit or employ talent in Latin America for US companies, publish their hiring model on their own website, and are operating in 2026. We checked every company fact on that company's own site on October 13, 2026, and we note where a detail came only from a third party. We did not score the firms. They are ordered by hiring model, from placement-only to fully managed teams.

A plain disclosure: Somewhere is on this list and we wrote it, so there is inherent bias. We gave our entry the same template and length as every other firm and named the cases where another firm fits better. No comparison can tell you which partner suits your role, so treat this as a starting shortlist and talk to two or three firms before you sign.

Quick comparison: Latin America recruiting firms at a glance

The six firms below split into three hiring models: placement (you employ the hire), staffing (the firm employs the hire and you pay monthly), and managed teams (the vendor runs the engineers). Pricing and terms are as published on each firm's site in October 2026.

How do Latin America recruiting firms differ?

Latin America recruiting firms differ mainly in who employs the hire after the search. Placement firms charge once and you employ the person; staffing firms employ the hire for a monthly fee; managed-team vendors run engineers as their own staff.

That choice decides most of your total cost. With a placement, you pay the fee once, then cover salary and either your own payroll or an employer of record (EOR). With staffing, the monthly fee includes payroll, benefits and local compliance, so you never touch foreign employment law. With a managed team, you buy output from a vendor's engineers rather than adding people to your own org chart.

Use the model to narrow the field before you compare firms. If you already have an EOR, a placement fee is usually the cheaper path. If you have no international payroll, staffing removes that work. If you need a whole software team fast, a managed-team vendor is built for it.

Each entry below follows the same template: what the firm does, three features checked on its own site, how it charges, one honest limit and the buyer it suits. Facts were checked on October 13, 2026.

1. HireLATAM

Website: hirelatam.com · Services: Recruiting and placement

HireLATAM is a placement firm. It runs the search and you hire the candidate directly, so the hire sits on your own payroll or an EOR you choose. Its homepage title advertises a $3,500 flat fee, and its "have us hire" page promises a shortlist in 5 to 10 days. The limit: because you employ the hire, payroll and local compliance stay with you.

  • Flat fee: one published price per hire rather than a percentage of salary (homepage title, October 2026).
  • Shortlist speed: 5 to 10 days to a shortlist, per its service page title.
  • Direct employment: the hire works for you, not for HireLATAM.

Pricing: $3,500 flat fee per hire, per its homepage title as of October 2026.

Best for: a company making one or two hires that already has payroll or an EOR in place.

2. Hire With Near

Website: hirewithnear.com · Services: Staffing and recruiting, staff augmentation, RPO, executive search, EOR

Hire With Near recruits across departments, from finance and sales to engineering, and lets you choose how the hire is employed. Its site says most candidates come from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil and that it works with 950+ US companies. The limit: it does not publish a fee, so you need a call to get a quote.

  • Two pricing models: a one-time placement fee, or salary plus a monthly fee that covers payroll and compliance.
  • Speed: first candidates in 3 to 5 days and a hire in under 3 weeks, per its homepage.
  • Guarantee: a 180-day replacement guarantee, and you pay only if you hire.

Pricing: Not publicly listed. Interviews are free and fees apply only when you hire.

Best for: a company building several roles across different departments in Latin America.

3. Somewhere

Website: somewhere.com · Services: Direct Hire and Talent On-Demand staffing

Somewhere (formerly Support Shepherd) is a remote hiring and staffing platform that sources full-time talent from Latin America, the Philippines and South Africa for US companies. That three-region reach is the main difference: you can compare a Colombian and a Filipino candidate for the same role in one search. The limit: with Direct Hire, your company runs onboarding, payroll and compliance after the placement, and we do not build software or run project teams for you.

  • Two hiring models: Direct Hire with a one-time recruiting fee based on the hire's first-year salary, or Talent On-Demand with monthly pricing (see pricing).
  • Shortlist: 3 to 5 vetted candidates within 5 business days, per our role pages.
  • Published costs by role: Latin America cost ranges for roles such as executive assistants and software engineers are on each role page.

Pricing: Direct Hire fee based on first-year salary; Talent On-Demand priced monthly.

Best for: a US company hiring full-time non-tech or tech roles that wants Latin America and offshore options compared side by side.

4. Revelo

Website: revelo.com · Services: Developer hiring, payroll and compliance

Revelo focuses on software developers. You review a shortlist of pre-vetted engineers, start a trial with the one you pick, and Revelo handles payroll in local currency, hardware and local labor compliance. The limit: it is built for technical roles, so it is not the right partner for an executive assistant or a bookkeeper.

  • Risk-free trial: a 2-week trial, and you pay only if you are happy, per its pricing page.
  • No long-term contract: no contracts and cancel anytime, per its pricing page.
  • Reach: a network it describes as 400,000 vetted engineers in 18+ Latin American countries.

Pricing: Monthly, with rates on its pricing page; it states developers cost 30% to 50% less than US hires.

Best for: an engineering lead who wants to trial a developer before committing.

5. Tecla

Website: tecla.io · Services: Staff augmentation, nearshore teams, AI talent, executive search

Tecla places senior engineers and technical talent on long-term engagements and acts as employer of record, so it handles payroll, benefits and compliance. It assigns a success manager to each client. The limit: its network and pages center on engineering, data and AI, so non-technical hiring is a smaller part of what it does.

  • Employer of record: Tecla employs the hire and runs HR, payroll and compliance.
  • Speed: candidates introduced within a week on average, per its FAQ.
  • Network: 40,000+ senior engineers and 10,000+ tech professionals in 18 countries, per its FAQ.

Pricing: an all-inclusive monthly rate per resource or team; rates are on its pricing page.

Best for: a product company adding senior engineers or AI specialists to an existing team.

6. BairesDev

Website: bairesdev.com · Services: Staff augmentation, dedicated teams, end-to-end software outsourcing

BairesDev is a nearshore software company rather than a recruiter. Its engineers are BairesDev staff, and you add them to your team or hand over a whole project. It reports 4,000+ Latin American engineers and teams staffed in 2 to 4 weeks. The limit: you are buying engineering capacity, not hiring your own employee, and it covers software roles only.

  • Engagement models: staff augmentation, dedicated teams or full outsourcing.
  • Team speed: teams of any size in 2 to 4 weeks, per its FAQ.
  • Scale: 500+ clients, per its press materials.

Pricing: Not publicly listed.

Best for: a company that needs a software team delivered and managed by the vendor.

What does hiring in Latin America cost through Somewhere?

How do you choose the right recruiting firm in Latin America?

Choose by hiring model first, then by role. Decide who should employ the hire and whether the role is technical, then shortlist the two or three firms below that match that profile.

  • You have an EOR and need one hire at a known price: HireLATAM's flat fee is the simplest.
  • You are hiring across departments and want the firm to handle payroll: Hire With Near or Somewhere Talent On-Demand.
  • You want Latin America and the Philippines or South Africa compared for the same role: Somewhere.
  • You want to trial a developer before committing: Revelo.
  • You need senior engineers or AI talent employed for you long term: Tecla.
  • You need a whole software team delivered and managed: BairesDev. Somewhere is not the right fit here; we place individual hires and do not run development projects.

FAQ

How much do recruiting firms in Latin America charge?

Latin America recruiting firms charge in one of three ways: a flat fee per hire, a one-time fee tied to the hire's salary, or a monthly staffing fee on top of salary. HireLATAM advertises a $3,500 flat fee. Somewhere's Direct Hire fee is based on first-year salary. Hire With Near, Tecla and Revelo offer monthly models that include payroll and compliance.

Which Latin America staffing firms support US time zones?

All six firms on this list recruit in Latin America, where most countries sit within a few hours of US business hours. That overlap is the main reason US companies choose the region over Asia. Confirm each candidate's city and working hours during interviews, because Brazil and Argentina run further ahead of the US West Coast than Mexico or Colombia.

How long does it take to hire through a Latin America recruiting firm?

Most firms deliver a shortlist within one to two weeks and a hire within three to four weeks. Hire With Near publishes 3 to 5 days to first candidates, Tecla about a week, HireLATAM 5 to 10 days to a shortlist, and BairesDev 2 to 4 weeks to staff a team. Somewhere's published shortlist time is 5 business days.

What is the difference between a recruiting firm and a staffing firm?

A recruiting firm finds the candidate and you employ them, usually for a one-time fee. A staffing firm employs the person for you and charges monthly, covering payroll, benefits and local compliance. Several firms here offer both, including Hire With Near and Somewhere, so you can pick per role.

Do I need a local entity or a visa to hire in Latin America?

No visa is needed when the hire works remotely from their own country. You also do not need a local entity if a staffing firm or employer of record employs the person for you. If you hire directly after a placement, you need an EOR or your own compliant contracts in that country.

Which firm is best for hiring developers in Latin America?

For developers, Revelo, Tecla and BairesDev specialize in engineering, each with a different model: a trial-first platform, an employer-of-record staffing service, and a managed software team. Hire With Near and Somewhere also place software engineers alongside non-technical roles. See Somewhere's software engineer page for Latin America cost ranges.
